About Tyffanie

I’m a twenty-something gringa living in Santiago with my Chilean husband and fur-child Dulcinea, a long-haired mini-dachshund.

Originally from Colorado, I came to Chile after 7+ years of studying Spanish to become bilingual.  But I never knew I'd end up meeting my husband-to-be!  We were married twice—in a civil ceremony in Chile in 2008 and then in the big white (& fuchsia pink) dream wedding in Colorado in 2009.  It was a dream come true!

I love the color pink, anything strawberry-flavored, spending the afternoon at the dog park with Dulci,  traveling and eating sushi.  I go to Starbucks often, but especially love going when I feel homesick because the taste of a decaf, non-fat Caramel Macchiato brings me back to Colorado.  I tend to be a perfectionist and am most hard on myself. Professional & personal growth topics interest me as do personal finances & taxes.  I prefer to speak Spanish over English, absolutely love dancing and I enjoy spending time with the awesome friends I have made here.

By day I work in accounting, but outside of work have interests in healthy living including working out and  cooking.  I also enjoy event planning and being entrepreneurial.  I have always wanted to start my own business, and hopefully sometime in the near future I'll have the first one up and running.
